MEET THE FAMILY

FRIENDS
We decided to add this page so that you could put a face to the names you might hear about. Some of you Karen and I have met personally and some of you we have just talked over the phone or through letters, so now you can put a face to our names.
We also wanted you to see our little fellowship here in Petal, MS. We have been meeting since about 2002. We have to tell you the story about that.
We use to get a lot of "unknown caller" calls or calls from names we had no idea who they were so we wouldn't answer them. They were usually sales calls or just wrong numbers. One day Karen got a call from a number at the University of Southern Mississippi and she wasn't going to answer it, but the Lord told her to answer this call. So Karen picked up the phone and it was Helen Carlos. She had seen a quote by us that Elaine Cook had put in her in her monthly paper. Elaine had given our address as Petal, MS and Helen was excited that there was a "Kingdom connection" in Petal.
Now you have to understand Karen and I hadn't been in fellowship with any particular group since we had moved to Petal. We had visited a few fellowships but you know how that goes. We had pretty well resigned ourselves to the fact that if we wanted deeper fellowship we would have to travel out to some meetings somewhere else.
Anyway, Helen asked if we would come to her and Jimmy's (her husband) house to meet them and maybe consider doing some teaching. Well, we are still there six years later and we have grown to love each other more and more in the Lord.
We are a small group (for right now) of about eight but we have some very precious times as the Lord presences Himself in our midst. We are never quite sure what will take place but we gather together unto Him and just flow by the Spirit. Everybody is free to share what the Lord has put on their heart or they are free to not share anything. We believe God is doing something in Petal as well as in every other place in the world. There is a storehouse in every city and soon Joseph (Jesus) is going to open the storehouses and feed the nations.
So it takes a lady in Canada to connect two people in Mississippi who actually only live about two miles apart. Now that is the Lord! Now if you are ever in our area we would love to have you stop by and visit with us. We usually gather around 5pm on Sunday evenings and we go until. You can contact us using the information on our home page. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you.
So here are some pictures of our local family and we will be adding pictures of friends we know and love across the world. We hope to get them to write a little something to put with their picture.
This is Jimmy and Helen Carlos. We meet in their home.They have been very gracious and allow us to use their home to gather in. Helen always has some goodies cooked for us to snack on with coffee. At times she will bless us all by cooking for us. On those days we all have to have a repentance meeting. Jimmy and Helen are Cajun and Helen knows how to cook Cajun, I mean real Cajun food, not the stuff they pass off in resturants as Cajun. They have been involved with several fellowships over the years and the Lord began to open their eyes to some deeper truths. Having come out of the church systems they found themselves sitting in the wilderness alone. The Lord put them in contact with the writings of Preston Eby, Elwin Roach and Elaine Cook, which is how we finally got together.

Now this is my personal favorite. This is my baby! Karen and I have been married for twenty years and we have four children between us and five grandchildren. Karen ministers in song, the gifts and in the Word. I have to watch out she is getting to be something of a preacher and when the anointing hits her, I just have to step back. She has a chapter from her new book to share so just click on her name and take a look.
Here is Jesse and Carolyn. We have known them for about three years. When we first met there was a bonding together and we just knew the Lord had put us together. We have spent many hours together fellowship, traveling and ministering. They both minister in the Word and in the gifts. The Lord has done a quick work in Jesse. He has only known the Lord for about five years but the Lord has put a lot into him in those five years. Carolyn has known the Lord for a longer period of time and has been involved with several different fellowships over the years.
Well, for now, that is all of us. I'm glad the Lord said, "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am in the midst of them." (Mt.18:20) I'm glad it doesn't have to be in some giant congregation; it only take two or three for the Lord to manifest Himself in a greater magnitude. We have had some tremendous times and the Lord has manifested Himself in some tremendous ways in our gatherings. The Lord has bound us together with cords of love.
